Using Interval Temporal Logic and Inference Rules for the Automatic Generation of Multimedia Presentations
نویسندگان
چکیده
We propose a mechanism and sys tem f o r the automatic generation of interactive mult imedia presentat ions f r o m their specifications. A presentat ion specifica(5on contains three parts: the resources, the temporal in format ion , and the spatial information. We use a ICON programming technique and a graphical user interface d l o w the presentation designer t o quickly specify what he/sh.e wants . Our sys tem takes these requirements and relies o n inference rules wri t ten an Prolog t o generate interactive presentations. These inference rules are based o n i n t e r v d temporal logic and important issues in mult imedia presentat ions, such as the hardware l imitat ions of a n ordinary personal computer and the properties of a mult imedia resource. O u r prototype system r u n under M S Windows. T h e early experience of using the sys tem shows that it is feasible t o use logic inference rules t o assist the design of good mult imedia presentations.

متن کاملTemporal Properties Underlying Multimedia Presentations with Z Notations
Formal specifications use mathematical notations to precisely describe what properties a system need to have instead of how these properties are implemented. The Z notation is a formal specification language widely used in Europe. In this paper, we use the Z notation to analyze the temporal knowledge underlying a multimedia presentation. We then present a system based on the four temporal speci...

This paper first proposes a high-level architecture for semi-automatically generating multimedia presentations by combining semantic inferencing with multimedia presentation generation tools. It then describes a system, based on this architecture, which was developed as a service to run over OAI archives but is applicable to any repositories containing mixed-media resources described using Dubl...
